March 09--A Chicago man was charged in the fatal stabbing of his ex-wife's boyfriend Saturday afternoon near a Burger King in the Back of the Yards neighborhood, police said.

Juan M. Martinez, 40, was with his girlfriend leaving the restaurant in the 2000 block of West 47th Street around 4:10 p.m. when he was stabbed several times in the chest and neck area by Vicente Salgado, his girlfriend's former husband, according to police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Martinez, of the 4600 block of North Central Park Avenue, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital and was pronounced dead there at 4:41 p.m., police and the medical examiner said.
