A Sydney man has been extradited to the ACT, accused of sexually assaulting and raping his partner.
The 29-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, faced the ACT Magistrates Court on Friday, July 3, when his application for bail was not opposed.
He is yet to enter pleas to sexual intercourse without consent, committing an act of indecency without consent and property damage. The charges were classified as family violence.
Police allege that during October and November 2025 the man sexually assaulted his partner on two occasions and destroyed property belonging to the woman.
The alleged crimes were reported to police and following investigations, officers arrested the man on Thursday at a Sydney home.
He was extradited to the ACT to face court. His bail conditions include to reside in NSW and not to enter the ACT unless for legal appointments or to attend court.
He was also ordered not to contact the alleged victim or be within 100 metres of the woman.
The case is set to return to court later this month.
