A man has been extradited from South Australia after allegedly sexually and indecently assaulting two schoolgirls while they were in his care in the NSW Hunter region.
Detectives launched an investigation into the 60-year-old in December 2018 following reports a girl had been sexually assaulted by him, police said.
During the investigation, a second victim alleged she was also attacked by the man while in his care.

The accused was arrested in Port Pirie on Monday and extradited by air to Sydney on Wednesday.
Police will allege in court he sexually assaulted a girl aged between seven and eight on two occasions in the Hunter region and indecently assaulted a second girl aged between nine and 10.
The man was taken to Mascot Police Station and charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault and indecently assaulting a person under 16.
He was refused bail in Central Local Court on Wednesday and was due to appear in Newcastle Local Court on Thursday.
