A man has been extradited from Batemans Bay to face court in the ACT over a shooting in Narrabundah last November.

Jordan Crooke, 22, was extradited from New South Wales on Wednesday afternoon, to face the ACT Magistrates Court on Thursday morning, where he was charged with two counts of aid and abet the discharging of a firearm into a building.

Documents tendered to the court allege that Mr Crooke was with another man, Brodie Antoniak, when he allegedly fired several times into a house in Canberra's inner south, while two adults and two young children were inside.

According to the statement of facts, Mr Antoniak had a long-term friendship with the owner of the house and, prior to the incident, had been staying at the property.

The documents state that Mr Antoniak left the homeowner a ute as a way of paying back a debt, but several weeks later began requesting it back.

By that stage the homeowner had allegedly already sold it.

Police allege on November 3, 2020, Mr Crooke travelled with Mr Antoniak and another woman, from Batemans Bay to the ACT to collect the ute.

According to the court documents, all three visited the Narrabundah property, where a dispute allegedly began over the location and ownership of the ute.

Police say the trio left the property, but later the same day, Mr Crooke went back to the house with Mr Antoniak, where Mr Antoniak proceeded to fire shots at the front door.

If found guilty, Mr Crooke could face a maximum of 10 years in jail.

During a brief appearance in court today, Mr Crooke said he had not been hiding from police and did not know about the charges.

He was granted bail on strict conditions, including a ban on entering the ACT unless he is attending court.

He is due to reappear in July.
