Police are appealing for witnesses after reports of a man exposing himself to a group of teenage girls.
The incident is said to have happened in Rivington, between the Italian and Japanese lakes, at around 4pm last Thursday (July 22).
Officers have described the man as 'white with a tanned complexion', and in his late 30s.
They also said that he has dark brown hair.
The man is said to have been topless at the time of the incident, wearing just a pair of blue shorts, carrying a backpack and wearing headphones.
Sgt Harrison of Chorley Police said: "This is a shocking incident which is deeply distressing to a group of teenagers who were merely out enjoying the weather, having a stroll and reading the signs about the history of Rivington."
