UPDATE: Merseyside Police Officers have identified the man and the CCTV image has been removed.
A school girl was subjected to a horrific ordeal after a man exposed himself to her whilst she waited for a bus.
The 13-year-old victim was targeted as she stood at the bus stop in Breck Road, at the junction with Grasmere Street in Anfield.
Police today released a CCTV image of a man they wanted to trace, believing he may have information to help their investigation.
The culprit had approached the teenager and engaged in conversation.
But moments later he exposed himself.
The distraught teenager bravely fled the scene and was looked after by a member of the public while the police arrived.
Police today urged anyone who recognises the man on CCTV to get in touch and anyone who witnessed the incident which happened at 3.20pm on Tuesday, November 10, to come forward.
Sergeant Jason Higham said: “Although she was left understandably distressed, the girl did the right thing by running away and was looked after by members of the public until officers were called.
“The man pictured may have information to assist, so if you recognise him or witnessed the incident itself, please let us know and we will take action.”
