A man has been arrested after allegedly exposing himself and urinating near a play area in Wirral while there were children close by.
Police were called to Victoria Park in Rock Ferry on Tuesday, April 13 at around 2pm following reports of a man exposing himself.
A 58-year-old from Rock Ferry was detained and then arrested on suspicion of exposure and taken to custody for questioning.
He has been released under investigation.
Police are now appealing for any other witnesses to come forward and reassured the public they have specially trainer officers to provide advice to schools and parents.
Community Inspector Tom Welch said: "Those involved did exactly the right thing by calling police immediately and our investigation is ongoing.
"If you witnessed this incident please come forward with reference 21000234191 and we will continue our enquiries.
“Such incidents can be extremely alarming for all who witness them, especially young people, so call us with any concerns and we will respond immediately.
