Man enlists the help of the whole neighbourhood in desperate attempt to win back his ex

Meeting an ex for the first time in a number of years can be an awkward and pressurised occasion, but one man has taken things into his own hands to make sure meeting his former flame goes exactly to plan.

Sami Bronowski decided to ask the people in his neighbourhood to help him appear to be popular and successful to his ex-girlfriend when they decided to meet up after five years.

He said: “My ex-girlfriend is visiting New York and I want her to believe I’m very successful and everybody loves me in this city, so I asked people in my neighbourhood to act as if I were their favourite person ever.”

Sami then walks around his local neighbourhood, asking people if they will play a part in his plan.

He said: “When I come in, you'll be like 'Oh, it's Sami!!"

To another person, he said: "You'll be like 'Sami, are you still dating that supermodel?'”

He then asked one man if he would pretend that he had saved his family.

He said: “You’ll be like you saved my family during Covid. You saved my family.”

The man's friend then rallied the forcing saying, "Everybody has to do it, like me, you, you know, he has to be popular."

Sami then says: “With everyone on board, I was ready to hang out with my ex for the first time in five years.”

As Sami walks down the street with his ex-girlfriend, passer-bys can be heard shouting ‘Sami!!’

Sami then walks into a store where he is greeted by a man who says: “Yo, it's Sam? He saved my mom's life.”

To which Sami replies: “It’s normal for me to do that.”

His ex-girlfriend, who is clearly surprised by what is going on, says: "It’s normal for you to save people’s lives?”

The shopkeeper then joins the conversation saying: "Sam always does this type of thing” before he pulls out a coffee cup with Sami’s face on it and says: “I drink coffee with your cup”.

His ex-girlfriend said: “You drink coffee from the cup because you love him” she then turns to Sami and whispers, “I thought you were broken after us?”

To seal the deal, the shopkeeper asks Sami, "What happened to that supermodel you were dating?”

He replies: “Oh, I dumped her.”

And it seems the elaborate plan worked a charm as Sami confirmed at the end of the video that “it worked like a charm”, saying: “Me and Marissa got back together that same day."
