LUCKNOW: Director of a Mumbai-based real estate company lodged a case against five persons for defrauding him of around Rs 9.4 crore. The complainant alleged that one of the accused, Anand Kumar Singh aka Baba Trikaldarshi, is a sand mafia.
Deepak Sharma of Malad, Mumbai, said he met Trikaldarshi of Eldeco Colony during a party in Mumbai in December 2018.
Trikaldarshi introduced himself as a sand miner and got friendly with Deepak, who was interested in sand mining.
Trikaldarshi promised to help Deepak procure sand mining contract in Banda. In due course of time, Trikaldarshi started taking money from Deepak but sold sand on behalf of the firm of his own aide, Vijay Pa. When Deepak objected, they took him at gunpoint and threatened him during a meeting in Lucknow.
