Man due in court over death of Aberdeen grandmother after body discovered in high rise flat

A man will appear in court tomorrow in connection with the death of an Aberdeen grandmother.

Margaret Robertson’s body was discovered last Friday at her home in a city high rise.

A man, aged 40, had been charged in connection with 54-year-old Meg’s brutal death at Promenade Court, Seaton.

He will appear in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

Detective inspector Gary Winter, leading the investigation, thanked the public for their help and support.

He said: “A police presence will remain in the area while our inquiries continue.

“I would still encourage anyone with information to approach our officers if you think you can help.”

Meg was last seen on the ground floor of Promenade Court on Tuesday, September 24.

Her body was found days later triggering a murder investigation.
