A man is set to appear in court charged in connection with the serious sexual assault of an 18-year-old girl in Glasgow.
The alleged incident took place in the Festival Park area, near Pacific Quay, at around 1.30am on Friday, February 19.
A major police probe was launched by officers who cordoned off the scene in the hours after the attack.
Police Scotland have confirmed that a man has now been arrested and charged.
He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, February 23.
A force spokesperson said: “We can confirm that a man has been arrested and charged in connection with a serious sexual assault in Glasgow.
“The incident happened around 1.30am on Friday, 19 February, 2021 in the Festival Park area, Pacific Quay, when an 18-year-old woman was attacked.
“The 30-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 23, February 2021.”
