Man drops lawsuit against Conor McGregor over UFC star's phone smashing incident in Miami

The man who was suing Conor McGregor over the Miami phone smashing incident has dropped his lawsuit against him.

Ahmed Abdirzak, 22, has withdrawn his legal claim against the Notorious sparking rumours the pair made an out of court settlement.

On March 11, The Crumlin man was arrested and charged with one count of strong-arm robbery and one count of criminal mischief after allegedly slapping away and stomping on Abdirzak's phone, Dublin Live reports.

The charges were later reduced to felony robbery and misdemeanour criminal mischief.

McGregor is still set to face US courts over the incident but will no longer have to deal with Abdirzak's civil claim in which he was believed to be demanding around $15,000 for.

According to TMZ, the tourist filed new documents to pull that claim.

The MMA star is still due before Miami courts this week and could face up to six years in prison if convicted on all counts.
