Man discovers what the drawer under your oven is actually for and it's not for your pans

A man has stunned people online after he revealed what the drawer under your oven is actually for.

Aaron Patterson, under the username @aaroncpatterson on TikTok, asked how old his viewers were when they found out that the drawer underneath the oven isn't made to store your pots and pans.

In the clip, which has since been viewed almost 180,000 times on the platform, Aaron reveals the real use of the compartment that he himself was blown away by.

Aaron claims that it's actually used to keep your food warm (if your oven is on).

This means you won't have to worry if you finish cooking one part of your meal before the other.

Just pop the item into the drawer until everything else is prepared, then plate up - genius.

"How old were you when you figured out that the drawer underneath the oven isn't for pots and pans? It's not," he told his followers of the hack.

"It's literally for keeping your food warm after it comes out of the oven."

He then showed viewers a shot of a fish in the bottom drawer.

"I know Pythagorean's theorem. I didn't know this!" he exclaimed.

Since being posted, the video has amassed more than 42,000 likes and almost 700 comments from impressed followers.

One said: "I don't believe you, absolutely no way."

Another wrote: "Um... today years old."

"This is illegal information," commented a third.

And: "You really do learn something new each day," said a fourth.

While others revealed all the different ways the drawer is utilised in their houses, as one said: "We just puts pots and pans IN the oven."

Another said: "Well it's also a bread pan to help bread rise when baking."

But a few people said that not all ovens have this feature.
