Man disappears from Glasgow hospital sparking police search

A man has vanished from a Glasgow hospital sparking concerns for his safety.

Police have launched a frantic search for missing Steven Swinfen who was last seen on Monday.

The 34-year-old disappeared at around 4pm from the grounds of Gartnavel Hospital.

Detectives have now released CCTV footage and believe he may have links to the Motherwell area.

He is described as around 5ft 9in tall, of medium build with short black hair. When last seen, Steven was wearing a blue jumper, grey trousers and black trainers with white soles.

Sergeant Iain Wilson, of Partick Response Policing, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Steven’s welfare and are appealing for information to help trace him safe and well.

“I would ask anyone who has seen someone matching this description or has any information relating to Steven’s whereabouts to get in contact with police.
