A 21-year-old man has died after being shot Sunday in Brighton Park on the Southwest Side.

Coludio Cossio died at 6:33 p.m. Wednesday at Mt. Sinai Hospital, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Chicago police said he was in a parked vehicle Sunday about 4:35 p.m. in the 4100 block of South Sacramento Avenue when someone in a light-colored vehicle pulled up and opened fire.

A bullet traveled through the man’s hand and struck him in the head, police said. He was taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition.

An autopsy released Thursday found he died of multiple gunshot wounds and ruled his death a homicide, the medical examiners’ office said.

No arrests have been reported.
