Man 'dies suddenly' in Glasgow incident as cops race to scene

Forensic cops have been spotted in Glasgow following the alleged sudden death of a man.

Officers arrived at Great Western Road in the Drumchapel area at around 9.10am.

A man had reportedly died suddenly and cops are said to not be treating it as suspicious.

Locals said forensic teams and a tent was spotted this morning.

Police Scotland confirmed they were called to the scene on Sunday morning and are investigating.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We received a report relating to the sudden death of a 56-year-old man at Great Western Road in the Drumchapel area of Glasgow around 9.10am on Sunday, 6 September.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
