Man dies suddenly after incident involving 'plant vehicle' outside property in Pembrokeshire

A man has died after an incident involving machinery outside a property in west Wales.

Police were called to the Narberth area of Pembrokeshire on Sunday afternoon. The exact nature of the incident is not known but police have confirmed that it did involve a plant vehicle.

The driver of the vehicle, a 61-year-old man, died at the scene, and the Health and Safety Executive and the coroner for Pembrokeshire have both been informed of the death.

A 51-year-old man was also taken to hospital after the incident to receive treatment and has since returned home.

A spokeswoman for Dyfed-Powys Police said: “Officers attended a property in the Narberth area of Pembrokeshire following a report of an incident involving a plant vehicle on Sunday, November, 8, 2020.

“Sadly, the 61-year-old male driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been advised and are being supported by specially trained officers.

“Our thoughts remain with the family at this very difficult time.”
