Man dies on Scots street after taking unwell outside shop

A man has died after taking unwell on a Scots street on Sunday evening.

Emergency services rushed to McKenzie Street, Kirkcaldy, following reports of a 56-year-old man having taken unwell.

Paramedics attended the incident but sadly the man could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a 56-year-old man having taken unwell on McKenzie Street, Kirkcaldy around 7.15pm on Sunday, 12 February, 2023.

“Emergency services attended, however the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
