Man dies on busy Scottish city street as police launch investigation

A MAN has died in Edinburgh city centre and police have launched an investigation into his “unexplained” death. 

Police said the body of a man was found on Princes Street at around 9.10am on Monday.

Investigators said they are treating the death as “unexplained” and that enquiries to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.10am on Monday, September 8, the body of a man was found on Princes Street, Edinburgh.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
