Man dies of 'multiple injuries'

An inquest has opened into the death of a 40-year-old man who died from multiple injuries.

Rowan Francis Bailey, 40, died on August 18 last year at the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham.

He was identified by a doctor from the hospital who cared for him during his lifetime, the inquest was told.

The inquest was opened at Nottingham Council House on Friday (March 4).

A provisional cause of his death - multiple injuries - was given following a post-mortem examination.

The inquest was adjourned until April 29 to allow for the completion of the findings.

Assistant Coroner for Nottinghamshire, Miss Fiona Gingell, passed on her condolences and best wishes to Mr Bailey’s family and friends.

She added: “I would like to express my sincere condolences to Mr Bailey’s family and friends.

“I am very sorry for their sad loss.”
