A 43-year-old man died Wednesday in a crash in suburban Wonder Lake, McHenry County police said.
About 7:39 p.m., officials responded to the scene of a motorcycle crash in the intersection of Hancock Drive and East Lake Shore Drive, McHenry County police said.
A preliminary investigation found that the man, of Harvard, was westbound on Hancock Drive when he lost control and veered off the road onto the median. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, police said.
McHenry County police’s Major Crash Investigation Unit and the McHenry County coroner’s office are investigating the crash.
