A man has been arrested after a suspected fatal shooting outside a rural property in northern Victoria.
The victim, a 55-year-old man, went outside his property at Numurkah near the NSW border on Thursday night before a suspected gunshot was heard.
He was discovered injured and died at the scene.
A 58-year-old Caniambo man was later arrested and is being interviewed by police. Both men knew each other.
Homicide squad detectives are continuing to investigate and a crime scene remains in place.
