A 52-year-old man died after crashing his car into a lamp post Monday evening in Park Manor on the South Side.
His westbound Ford Fusion veered off the road about 9:40 p.m. and crashed into a lamp post in the 300 block of East 71st Street, Chicago police said in a statement.
He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office hasn’t released details on his death.
