A man has died in a house fire in Wigan.
Police were called to a blaze on Wenlock Grove in Hindley just before 3am this morning (Saturday, August 21).
Fire crews rescued a man from a burning property.

Emergency services attended and despite the best efforts of paramedics, a man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are currently carrying out enquiries along with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) to find out the cause of the blaze.

A spokesman for GMP said work is ongoing to identify the man and inform his next of kin.
In a statement, police said: “Police were called by GMFRS just before 3am today (21 August) to a report of a property on fire on Wenlock Grove, Hindley and a man having been rescued from the building.
“Emergency services attended and despite the best efforts of paramedics, a man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“Detectives are carrying out enquiries alongside GMFRS to determine the cause of the fire.
“Enquiries are ongoing to identify the man and trace his next of kin.”
