A man has died after a fatal head-on collision in the Borders.
Emergency services raced to the A68 in the Soutra area at 7pm on Saturday evening after reports of the horror crash.
The 57-year-old driver of the Toyota Auris involved in the collision was announced dead at the scene.
Scottish Ambulance Service crews assessed a 51-year-old man and 15-year-old boy inside a Porsche Macan.
The pair did not suffer any serious injuries.
Police have now launched a probe into the fatal crash and are appealing for dashcam footage.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Inquiries are ongoing and anyone who witnessed what happened, or has dashcam footage of the crash, is asked to contact officers via 101 and quote incident number 3718 of February 22.”
