Man dies in fatal house fire near Fraserburgh

A man has died after a house fire near Fraserburgh .

Fire crews were alerted to the flames in Summers Road, in the Aberdeenshire village of Rosehearty, at 8.44am on Monday.

A 54-year-old man was pulled from the burning building.

He died at the scene shortly after.

His next of kind have been informed.

Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue will carry out a joint investigation to establish the full circumstances surrounding the death.

Detective Inspector Sam Buchan said: "My thoughts are with the man's family at this very sad time. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.".

Scottish Fire and Rescue has been approached for comment.
