Man dies in cliff fall from lookout in Sydney's south

Police were called to Cape Solander, Kurnell, NSW after a man fell from a cliff.

A man is dead after falling from a cliff in the Kamay Botany Bay National Park in New South Wales.

Police were called to a lookout point at Cape Solander in Kurnell after reports someone had fallen over the edge.

About 1:20pm on Saturday a man, believed to be in his 30s, was found dead in the ocean.

The spot is located near a whale watching platform.

Initial inquiries suggest the incident was one of "misadventure".

There were no suspicious circumstances.

Officers from Sutherland Police Area Command are continuing with their inquiries into the incident.

The man has not yet been identified.

A coroner's report is being prepared.
