Man dies in Edinburgh street as cops race to scene

Emergency services have rushed to an Edinburgh street following the sudden death of a man.

The alarm was raised at around 5.25am on Thursday, April 15, after the tragic discovery on West Granton Road.

Officers remain at the scene carrying out enquiries however there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

A large cordon is currently in place.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.25 am this morning, Thursday, 15 April, 2020, police and emergency services were called to West Granton Road, Edinburgh, following the sudden death of a man.

“Officers remain at the scene."
