Man dies in crash which closed M4 for six hours

A man has died in a crash which closed the M4 in Wales for six hours.

The incident saw the M4 shut westbound between junction 47 and 48, near Swansea, from around 4pm until 10pm on November 30.

South Wales Police have now confirmed a man died in the incident, according to our sister title Wales Online.

Police said a grey Audi Q3 had collided with a local man, who died from his injuries at the scene.

The police force thanked people for their patience and understanding.

A spokesman told Wales Online: “South Wales Police would also like to speak with any witnesses to the collision, any person who may have dash cam footage of the incident or anyone who witnessed the manner of driving prior to the collision.

“Please could witnesses contact the Roads Policing Unit at Lakeside Police Station on 101 quoting occurrence 1900441957.”
