Man dies from serious injuries at Scots quarry as cops bid to identify him

A man has tragically died after being found seriously injured at a quarry in Clackmannanshire. Police were called to the scene near Tillicoultry at around 4.20pm on Saturday, August 27, following reports of concern for the man.

Officers arrived and found him badly hurt before he was pronounced dead a short time later. His death is not believed to be suspicious, however officers have so far been unable to identify him.

The man is described as being white, of a heavy build and aged between 50 to 60-years-old. He has blue eyes, balding hair with a grey stubble beard.

Police say the man has no visible tattoos and was wearing blue shorts, a dark grey t-shirt with light grey sleeves and black Adidas trainers with white stripes.

Inspector Martin Morris said: “We do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances around this death, however we need to be able to identify him. Anyone who recognises the description should get in touch with us.”

Anyone with any information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 2347 of Saturday, 27 August, 2022.
