A man has died following a single vehicle collision in the city centre this morning.
The incident took place at around 10:45am on Lad Lane, just off Baggot Street.
The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was raced to St Vincent’s University Hospital by ambulance where he was later pronounced dead.
Forensic Collision Investigators are currently at the scene and the road is currently closed with local diversions are in place.
A garda spokeswoman said: "Gardaí in Pearse Street are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to come forward and for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time to make it available to Gardaí.
