A MAN who died in a crash involving a campervan and a motorbike in Inverness has been named by police.
Police received a report of a crash on the A82 at Lochend involving a white Peugeot campervan and a blue BMW motorbike at around 4.30pm on Thursday, 19 June.
Emergency services attended, and the rider of the motorbike was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, where he died on Thursday, 26 June.
The rider of the motorbike has been named by the police as 57-year-old Steven Twizell from Armadale in West Lothian.
His family have asked for privacy.
The 46-year-old male driver of the campervan was taken to hospital as a precaution and has since been discharged.
Police said the driver of the campervan has been arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and that enquiries are ongoing.
