An 83-year-old man has died following a collision with a car near Alfreton.
The incident occurred on the north-bound slip road of the A38 at the Watchorn Island at around 9am this morning (November 19).
The man, who is from Alfreton, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His family have been made aware of what has happened.
Derbyshire Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage that may have captured the incident, or the moments leading up to it, that could help them with their investigation.
