Man dies following an incident at a factory in Tyrone

A man has died following an incident at a factory in Co Tyrone.

Emergency services were called to Linden Foods premises at the Granville Industrial Estate in Dungannon on Thursday, August 5.

Police confirmed they are investigating the incident at the commercial premises.

"Police and the Health and Safety Executive are investigating an incident in which a man has died at commercial premises in the Eskragh Road area of Dungannon earlier today (Thursday, August 5th)," a statement from police said.

A police spokesperson added that enquiries were ongoing into the incident which led to the man's death.

A spokesperson for Linden Foods said that enquiries into an incident are ongoing and no further comment would be provided at this time.

The HSE confirmed that inspectors are attending the scene of an incident in Dungannon.

Sinn Fein councillor for Dungannon Dominic Molloy, who is also an employee at Linden Foods, said thoughts are with the family of the young man killed.

"My heart goes out to his family, close friends and work colleagues. It is so, so tragic when someone goes out and doesn't come home."
