A man who was injured in a hit-and-run crash last week in Englewood has died.

Anthony Hamilton Sr., 45, was pronounced dead March 26 at the University of Chicago Medical Center, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

He was injured days earlier when he was struck by a vehicle as he crossed the street about 2 a.m. March 22 in the 6200 block of South Honore Street, Chicago police said. The vehicle did not stop after the collision.

An autopsy found he died of complications from injuries to his head suffered in the crash, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled an accident.

No one was custody as Area One detectives investigate.
