A man was fatally electrocuted over the weekend in a south suburban high school.
Craig Krygowski, 50, made contact with live electrical wires about 12:53 p.m. on July 20 inside Bloom High School, Chicago Heights police said in a statement.
He suffered an electrical shock and was taken from the school, at 101 W. 10th St., to Franciscan Health Hospital in Olympia Fields, police said.
Krygowski, who lived in Posen, was pronounced dead at 1:58 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy released Monday found he died from electrocution, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled accidental.
Bloom High School officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment. It was unclear if Krygowski was an employee of the school.
Chicago Heights police were investigating the death.
