A man has died following a medical emergency at a holiday park.

The Welsh Ambulance Service was called at 10.27am to Robin Hood park in Rhyl on Friday morning, August 20, reports North Wales Live.

A community first responder, two emergency ambulances and an air ambulance attended the scene along with North Wales Police who said they were there to help the air ambulance onto the scene.

An air ambulance landed on Rhyl Golf Club golf course on the other side of Coast Road and left the scene shortly before 12.30pm.

Sadly the holiday park later confirmed a person had died following the incident.

In a post on the park's Facebook page, it said: "We are aware of a medical emergency that took place on park today, 20/08/2021 which was attended by the Welsh Ambulance Service, Welsh Air Ambulance and North Wales Police.

"Thank you to the incredible service from our emergency services, who did everything they could, but unfortunately, an individual has passed away.

"Our deepest condolences are with the family at this time. Please could we ask that all guests and owners at the park respect the boundaries where the police are situated."
