Man dies at Scots waterfall as cops probe sudden death

A man has tragically died after falling ill at a Scots waterfall.

Emergency services were called to Bracklinn Falls in Callander shortly after 8pm on Thursday, July 15.

The 32-year-old could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.

Police Scotland have confirmed they are investigating but say there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A force spokesperson said: “Around 8.05pm on Thursday, 15 July, police were called to a report of a man having taken unwell at Bracklinn Falls, Callander.

"Emergency services attended and a 32-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
