Man dies at popular Scots beauty spot after falling unwell

A man has died at a Scots beauty spot after falling unwell.

Emergency services were called to Cockleroy Hill near Linlithgow in West Lothian at 9.45am today.

Paramedics attended, however the 69-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers say his death is not being treated as suspicious.

A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 9.45am on Saturday, February 4, to a report of a man unwell at Cockleroy Hill, near Linlithgow.

“Emergency services attended and the 69-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. ”The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
