A 31-year-old Queensland man has died in hospital following an alleged assault.
Police say the victim, from Morayfield, north of Brisbane, died in hospital early Saturday morning after suffering critical head injuries at a home in Landsborough, on the Sunshine Coast, on March 11.
As a result, a 38-year-old Caboolture South man was charged with grievous bodily harm on March 31.
The charge is expected to be upgraded to unlawful striking causing death when he next appears in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on April 12.
Police allege the two men were known to each other.
