Man dies after suddenly collapsing in Glasgow street

A man has died after suddenly collapsing in a Glasgow street.

Emergency services raced to Barlock Street after the alarm was raised around 2.10pm yesterday.

Ambulance and police swarmed the area but the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is underway but police believe there to be no suspicious circumstances at this time.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We attended a report of a man who had collapsed in Barloch Street, Glasgow, around 2.10pm on Monday 22 June.

"The Scottish Ambulance Service attended and he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

"There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
