A man has died in a crash involving a van and a car on the A1.
Around 24 miles of traffic delays have built up following the incident and the road is closed in both directions between the A52, Grantham North and the Barrowby turn off, and the A46 Newark Showground turn-off.
Lincolnshire Police was called to the crash at around 5.43am on Thursday, August 13 and the road was subsequently closed off.
Another man was injured and has been taken to hospital for treatment.
A spokesperson for the force added: "Tragically, a man aged in his 50s, has been pronounced deceased following a collision between a van and a car this morning on the A1 near Gonerby Moor.
"The investigation is ongoing and diversions are in place. If you saw the collision please call 101 with reference 64 of today (13 August)."
