Man dies after quad bike crash in Knightswood

A man has died after a quad bike crash in Knightswood.

Emergency crews raced to Archerhill Road at around 4:50pm last night, where the 27-year-old was found fatally injured after colliding into a lamppost near a BMX track.

The 27-year-old was rushed to hospital but police later confirmed that the man had died at the scene.

The road remained closed while officers investigated but re-opened at 10:15pm last night.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Police were called to a report that a man was seriously injured after coming off his quad bike and crashing into a lamppost on Archerhill Road, Knightswood, Glasgow around 4.50pm on Thursday November 28, 2019.

"Emergency services attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene."
