Man dies after police called to crash in Tycoch, Swansea

A 68-year-old man has died after police were called to a one vehicle crash in Swansea.

The road between Llwyn Mawr Road to the junction of Rowan Avenue in Tycoch was closed off for most of the day following the incident in Cefn Helyg this morning.

Police have confirmed that a man has died and officers are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.

A spokeswoman for South Wales Police said: "We were called at about 9.40am this morning to a report of a one vehicle road traffic collision in Cefn Helyg.

"We can confirm a 68-year-old man died and we are appealing for anyone with information about the collision to contact 101 quoting occurrence 2000272308."

The Welsh Ambulance Service said they were also called to the scene this morning.

In a statement released earlier today, a Welsh Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called today, July 30, shortly after 9.30am to reports of a road traffic collision involving a single vehicle in the Sketty area of Swansea.

"We responded with one emergency ambulance, two rapid response vehicles and were supported by the emergency medical retrieval and transfer service.”
