Man dies after plunging from 10th floor car park at East Kilbride shopping centre

A man has died after plunging from the tenth floor of a multi-story car park at a Scots shopping centre.

Emergency services raced to the scene at the East Kilbride shopping centre around 10.45am this morning after a man fell from the 10th floor car park in Churchill Road.

Sadly the man could not be saved and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10.45am on Thursday, October 7, police were called to a report of a man having fallen from the 10th floor of the car park at a shopping centre in Churchill Road, East Kilbride.

"Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
