Man dies after pedestrian crash at Gosford

A man has died following a pedestrian crash on the Central Coast on Tuesday.

Emergency services were called to Ambulance Road, Gosford, just before 9am following reports a pedestrian had been struck by a car.

Police were told a 62-year-old man fell onto the road before a Holden Trailblazer turned a corner and struck him.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to Gosford Hospital, where he died a short time later.

Officers from Brisbane Water Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The Holden driver, a 29-year-old woman, was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
