A man has died after a three-vehicle crash in Oldham.
The incident happened at about 8.15pm last night.
Despite paramedics’ best efforts, a 53-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. It is believed he may have had a medical episode prior to the collision.
A section of the A62 was closed for two hours.
The man’s next of kin has been informed and specialist officers are supporting them.
No one has been arrested.
Constable Karl Horner, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with all involved and the victim’s family at this sad time.
“The driver may have had a medical episode prior to the collision but an investigation has been launched to help us establish the full circumstances.
