A man died almost two weeks after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver in Back of the Yards on the South Side.

Mister Lucky-Tyrone Pearson, 39, was pronounced dead on Tuesday at the University of Chicago Medical Center, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was struck by a vehicle on July 26 as he crossed the street in the 4700 block of South Ashland Avenue, Chicago police said. He was hospitalized in critical condition, but died several days later.

An autopsy released Wednesday found Pearson died of complications from being struck by a vehicle, the medical examiner’s office said. He lived in the Washington Park neighborhood.

The CPD Major Accident Investigation Unit recovered the vehicle but did not find the driver, police said at the time.

No arrests have been made in connection to the crash, police said Wednesday afternoon.
