Man dies after falling ill in car on busy Aberdeen road

A man has died after falling ill while in a car on a road in Aberdeenshire.

Emergency services rushed to the scene on the B977 after they were alerted at around 10.50am on Sunday morning.

When they arrived at the scene, officers said that the man had taken unwell, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

They added that aren't treating the death as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 10.50am on Sunday, 18 October, 2020, following the report of a man taking unwell in his car on the B977 at the junction with Parkhill Crossroads, Newmachar, Aberdeen.

“Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
