Man dies after falling from his bike in Glenville, Co Cork

A man has sadly died after falling from his bike yesterday morning.

Gardai are investigating the fatal incident, which happened at around 10.20am on Sunday, October 25.

A male cyclist, in his 60s, was travelling alone the R614 in Ballybrack, Glenville, Co Cork at that time when he fell and was seriously injured.

He was taken by ambulance to Cork University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

It is understood that no other vehicle was involved in the incident.

The scene was examined by a Garda forensic team and the local coroner has been notified of the death.

Investigating gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Fermoy Garda Station on (025) 82100 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
